1.Take note people: missing socks hide behind the washing machine. When moved, we found exactly 12 individual socks hiding here. Not a single one matched any others.
2. Junior handy man toys are not a good idea. Strategically placed furniture and toys hid the multiple plaster holes our little cherubs made while trying out their tools.
3. While you’re at it, it would be best to ban pens and crayons as well. Children draw on EVERYTHING! Doors, walls, cupboards.
4. If you haven’t recycled those washing liquid bottles within a month, get rid of them. Several layers of bottles had accumulated over years on shelves despite our good intentions.
5. Tampons will breed if left to their own devices. They particularly seem to like drawers, handbags and god knows how but under the lounge. Best moment of the day was the look on a friends face as a lounge was moved by the truck guys to reveal a tampon lying on the floor.
6. It’s best if I don’t mention what was under the beer fridge, but suffice to say this really should be cleaned out more regularly.
7. When renovating, timing is everything. If you want your renovations hurried up, just organise to move out. Everything was finished in time for the new tenants to enjoy it!
8. My mother was right, Gumption is gold.
Now only four sleeps to go……….
that's gold Benno, gold. Take care and I'll be seeing you sooner than we realise I'll be reckoning....
